各位同胞、各位朋友：
值此辭舊迎新之際，我謹以中國民主黨黨員、並以中國民主黨全國聯合總部（海外）英國委員會主席身份，向中國及世界各地華人朋友致以誠摯的新年問候，並送上堅定的自由與民主祝願。
當今世界動盪加深，威權擴張與地緣衝突交織。但人類文明的主流方向從未改變：民主、人權、法治與憲政，才是保障社會長治久安的基石。越是在不確定的年代，越需要用制度約束權力、用法律保障人的尊嚴、用公民參與守護公共利益。
回到中國現實，經濟下行、青年失業、社會焦慮與信心流失，並非偶發，而是長期缺乏民主監督、司法獨立與公民自由所累積的制度性後果。當權力不受制衡、責任無法追究、法律被選擇性適用，腐敗就會反覆，政策失誤也無人負責；維權者與異議者在高壓下受難，整個社會被迫沉默與自我審查。這樣的體制，消耗的不只是個體權利，更在透支國家的未來。
香港的遭遇是一記沉痛警示：沒有制度保障的自由，隨時可能被剝奪。與此同時，臺灣以和平方式完成民主轉型，證明華人社會完全有能力建立自由選舉、政黨輪替、獨立司法與新聞自由。正因為民主具有示範力量，專制才會本能地恐懼它、打壓它、抹黑它。
在此，我必須清楚表明立場：中共極權體制必須被結束，一黨專政必須被終結。 中國需要的不是更嚴密的控制與更高壓的維穩，而是憲政民主；不是個人意志凌駕法律，而是權力在法治框架下運行並接受監督與問責。這不僅是政治選擇，更是中國社會重建信任、恢復活力、走向現代文明的必由之路。
同時我們鄭重申明：我們反對仇恨與暴力，拒絕以暴易暴，堅持以和平、理性、非暴力方式推動制度轉型。
中國民主黨依黨章宗旨，堅持以自由、人權、法治、憲政民主為核心目標，反對任何形式的專制與政治迫害；我們主張以和平、理性、非暴力的方式推動制度轉型，讓人民成為國家的主人，讓政府回歸公僕，讓法律回歸正義。這條道路或許艱難，但它正當、可靠，能凝聚最廣泛的社會共識。
我呼籲海內外華人同胞：請不要對專制保持沉默，不要對侵害人權習以為常。關心香港的自由處境，尊重臺灣人民的選擇，支持中國民主力量，是對民族未來的責任，也是對普世價值的守護。
我也想對中國大陸的同胞說：你們並不孤單。高牆或許存在，但真相不會永遠被封鎖；恐懼或許暫時有效，但人對尊嚴與自由的追求不會被泯滅。每一次拒絕謊言、每一次守住底線、每一次彼此扶持，都是歷史前進的一小步。
新的一年，中國民主黨全國聯合總部（海外）英國委員會將繼續團結海內外民主力量，深化國際連結，為被壓迫者發聲、為被噤聲者作證，推動世界看見中國人民追求自由的真實意志，並以長期、穩健、可驗證的行動，推進中國走向憲政民主的未來。
願新的一年，恐懼減少，勇氣增長；願真相穿越封鎖，光明穿越黑暗。
祝願各位新年平安、闔家安康、心中有光、前路不孤。
To Chinese People and Overseas Chinese Around the World

Dear compatriots and friends,
At this moment of bidding farewell to the old year and welcoming the new, I extend my sincere New Year greetings to Chinese people in China and around the world, and offer my steadfast wishes for freedom and democracy. I do so in my capacity as a member of the China Democracy Party and as Chair of the UK Committee of the China Democracy Party National United Headquarters (Overseas).
The world today is facing growing turbulence. Authoritarian expansion and geopolitical conflicts are intertwined. Yet the fundamental direction of human civilisation has never changed: democracy, human rights, the rule of law, and constitutionalism remain the cornerstones of long-term social stability and peace. The more uncertain the times, the more we must restrain power through institutions, safeguard human dignity through law, and protect the public interest through civic participation.
Turning to the reality in China, economic decline, youth unemployment, widespread social anxiety, and the erosion of public confidence are not accidental. They are the accumulated, systemic consequences of the long-term absence of democratic oversight, judicial independence, and civil liberties. When power is unchecked, accountability is absent, and the law is applied selectively, corruption recurs and policy failures go unanswered. Rights defenders and dissenters suffer under high-pressure repression, while society as a whole is forced into silence and self-censorship. Such a system consumes not only individual rights, but also the future of the nation itself.
Hong Kong’s experience stands as a painful warning: freedoms without institutional safeguards can be taken away at any moment. At the same time, Taiwan has completed its democratic transition through peaceful means, demonstrating that Chinese societies are fully capable of establishing free elections, peaceful transfers of power, an independent judiciary, and press freedom. It is precisely because democracy has such demonstrative power that authoritarian regimes instinctively fear it, suppress it, and smear it.
Here, I must state my position clearly: the Chinese Communist Party’s totalitarian one-party rule must come to an end. What China needs is not tighter control or harsher “stability maintenance,” but constitutional democracy; not personal will overriding the law, but power operating within a framework of the rule of law, subject to oversight and accountability. This is not merely a political choice—it is the only path for Chinese society to rebuild trust, restore vitality, and move toward modern civilisation.
In accordance with its Charter, the China Democracy Party upholds freedom, human rights, the rule of law, and constitutional democracy as its core objectives, and opposes all forms of authoritarianism and political persecution. We advocate a peaceful, rational, and non-violent path toward institutional transformation—one that returns sovereignty to the people, restores government to its role as a public servant, and brings the law back to justice. This road may be difficult, but it is legitimate, sustainable, and capable of uniting the broadest social consensus.
I call upon Chinese people at home and abroad: do not remain silent in the face of authoritarianism, and do not grow accustomed to human rights abuses. Caring about the freedoms of Hong Kong, respecting the choices of the people of Taiwan, and supporting China’s democratic forces are responsibilities to our nation’s future and a commitment to universal values.
To my compatriots in mainland China, I want to say: you are not alone. Walls may exist, but truth cannot be sealed forever; fear may work temporarily, but humanity’s pursuit of dignity and freedom will not be extinguished. Every refusal to accept lies, every act of holding the moral line, and every moment of mutual support is a small step forward in history.
In the coming year, the UK Committee of the China Democracy Party National United Headquarters (Overseas) will continue to unite democratic forces at home and abroad, deepen international engagement, speak for the oppressed, and bear witness for those who have been silenced. Through sustained, steady, and verifiable actions, we will work to ensure that the world sees the true will of the Chinese people for freedom, and to advance China toward a constitutional democratic future.
May the new year bring less fear and greater courage.
May truth break through blockades, and light pierce the darkness.
I wish you all peace in the new year, good health to your families, light in your hearts, and companionship on the road ahead.
