反对中国超级大使馆，我们必须让英国政府听到我们的声音！

     2025年2月8日，在伦敦旧皇家铸币厂（Royal Mint Court）外，众多民主人士、海外华人及支持人权的各界人士聚集在一起，举行了一场规模浩大的抗议活动，反对中国政府在英国建立超级大使馆的计划。这次抗议不仅是对英国政府决策的直接回应，也是对中共海外扩张战略的强烈反击。在这一历史性事件中，中国民主党全国联合总部（海外）英国委员会主席：马迎来；组织部长：章斌，以及成员陈小丽积极参与其中，向世界展现了海外华人对民主自由的坚持以及对中共极权扩张的坚决抵制。

                                

反对中共海外扩张，维护民主与安全

    此次抗议的焦点是中国政府计划在伦敦建立世界上规模最大的中国大使馆，这一计划不仅涉及英国国家安全，也威胁到所有流亡海外的中国民主人士和异见者的生存空间。近年来，中共不断利用海外大使馆和领事馆实施跨国镇压，包括监视、恐吓、甚至迫害持不同政见的流亡者。伦敦的超级大使馆一旦建成，无疑将成为中共进行情报活动、打压异见人士的重要据点。

                               

    中国民主党全联总（海外）英国委员会认识到，这一计划不仅影响到在英华人的安全，也挑战着英国的民主制度。因此，委员会成员积极参与了此次抗议，与其他民主团体、受迫害群体及英国本地支持者一起，向英国政府发出强烈呼声：拒绝中国超级大使馆，捍卫民主自由！

海外民主人士的共同抗争

    这场抗议汇聚了多个民主团体，包括香港人、藏人、维吾尔人、台湾人以及关注全球人权的英国及其他国家的支持者。不同背景、不同身份的参与者站在一起，不仅仅是为了自身的利益，更是为了全球民主力量的团结和未来。

                               

    作为流亡海外的民主党人，中国民主党全联总（海外）英国委员会主席马迎来深知，中共对异见者的打压并不止步于国境线内。中共政府长期以来利用“扫黑除恶”“反恐”等借口，在国内清算异见者，在海外则通过外交机构施加压力，甚至滥用国际刑警组织（INTERPOL）通缉令，企图让流亡者无处藏身。这次抗议不仅是针对中国超级大使馆本身，更是对全球范围内民主人士所面临的共同威胁的揭露和抵抗。

                               

    委员会成员在抗议现场与其他民主人士交流，并共同呼吁英国政府正视中共对海外华人及民主团体的威胁。委员会主席马迎来表示：“无论身处何地，我们都必须站出来，为自由发声。如果我们对这样的扩张计划不加以抵制，最终受害的不仅仅是流亡者，而是整个自由世界。”组织部长章斌也强调：“这不仅仅是关于中国民主人士的生存空间，也是对整个自由世界的警示。如果我们允许这样一个超级大使馆落地，未来将会有更多民主人士受到威胁，英国的民主制度也将受到侵蚀。”

英国政府必须正视民意

     这次抗议不仅是向中共表明态度，也是在向英国政府传递一个重要信号——公众的反对是强烈的，民主团体的声音不能被忽视。英国政府此前曾否决了中国大使馆的初步规划申请，但近期却因“反对声音不足”而犹豫是否继续阻止这一计划。因此，这次抗议不仅展现了海外民主力量的团结，也给英国政府施加了实际压力，让他们意识到，若执意放行这一计划，将面临来自国内外的广泛抵制。

                               

    抗议当天，现场的标语、横幅和演讲都集中表达了一个核心诉求：英国不能纵容极权政权在伦敦建立超级大使馆，不能让中共的渗透危害英国的民主与安全！ 许多抗议者手举“拒绝超级大使馆”“中共不代表中国”“自由世界不欢迎极权”等标语，以坚定的姿态表明立场。

                               

抗议的意义与持续斗争

    此次抗议活动的影响不仅仅局限于当天的示威，更在英国及国际社会掀起了对中国政府海外扩张行为的广泛关注。媒体的报道使得更多人开始了解这一计划背后的威胁，也让英国政府感受到来自民间的巨大压力。
    对于中国民主党全联总（海外）英国委员会来说，这次抗议不仅仅是一次参与，更是一种立场的表达。作为中国民主运动的一部分，委员会的成员深知，要想真正推动中国的民主化，必须在全球范围内抵制中共的渗透，并通过国际合作争取更多民主支持。此次活动展示了海外华人并非沉默的大多数，而是有组织、有意志、有目标的民主斗士。

                               

    未来，委员会将继续关注中国在海外的政治扩张，推动英国及其他民主国家采取更严格的措施，限制中共在海外的渗透活动。同时，委员会也将加强与其他民主组织的联系，共同推动全球范围内对极权政府的抵制。

民主之路，任重道远

     2·8抗议不仅是一场反对中国超级大使馆的行动，更是一次全球民主力量的集结和表达。中国民主党全联总（海外）英国委员会的参与，体现了海外民主人士对抗极权、捍卫自由的决心。这次抗议让英国政府听到了反对的声音，让国际社会看到了中共的扩张野心，也向所有仍在为民主奋斗的人们传递了希望。

                                

     抗争不会因一次抗议而结束，但每一次的行动，都是迈向自由的重要一步。面对极权，我们不会沉默；面对压迫，我们不会退缩。这场斗争，才刚刚开始！

On February 8, 2025, outside Royal Mint Court in London, numerous democracy activists, overseas Chinese, and human rights supporters gathered for a large-scale protest against the Chinese government’s plan to establish a mega embassy in the UK. This protest was not only a direct response to the UK government’s decision-making but also a strong counterattack against the CCP’s overseas expansion strategy.

At this historic event, Ma Yinglai, Chairman of the China Democratic Party National Joint Headquarters (Overseas) UK Committee, along with Zhang Bin, Organizing Minister, and member Chen Xiaoli, actively participated, demonstrating to the world the unwavering commitment of overseas Chinese to democracy and freedom, as well as their firm opposition to the CCP’s authoritarian expansion.

The focus of this protest was the Chinese government’s plan to build the world’s largest Chinese embassy in London. This project is not only a matter of UK national security but also threatens the safety of all exiled Chinese democracy activists and dissidents. Over the years, the CCP has consistently used its embassies and consulates to conduct transnational repression, including surveillance, intimidation, and even persecution of dissidents. If built, this mega embassy would undoubtedly become a key hub for CCP intelligence operations and suppression of overseas dissidents.

The China Democratic Party National Joint Headquarters (Overseas) UK Committee recognizes that this project affects not only the safety of overseas Chinese in the UK but also challenges the country’s democratic system. Thus, committee members actively participated in the protest, joining forces with other democratic groups, persecuted communities, and local British supporters to send a strong message to the UK government:

Reject China’s mega embassy, defend democracy and freedom!

The protest brought together multiple democratic groups, including Hongkongers, Tibetans, Uyghurs, Taiwanese, and human rights activists from the UK and other countries. People from different backgrounds and identities stood together—not just for their own interests but for the unity and future of the global democratic movement.

As an exiled democracy activist, Ma Yinglai understands that the CCP’s repression does not stop at China’s borders. For years, the Chinese government has used so-called “anti-crime” and “counterterrorism” campaigns to purge dissidents domestically, while abroad, it has leveraged diplomatic institutions to exert pressure and has even misused INTERPOL red notices to hunt down political refugees.

This protest was not only against the mega embassy itself but also aimed at exposing and resisting the broader threat faced by democracy activists worldwide.

At the protest, Ma Yinglai called on the UK government to take this issue seriously, stating:

“No matter where we are, we must stand up and speak out for freedom. If we do not resist such expansion, the victims will not only be exiled dissidents but the entire free world.”

Organizing Minister Zhang Bin emphasized:

“This is not just about the survival of Chinese democracy activists; it is a warning to the entire free world. If we allow such a mega embassy to be built, more democracy activists will be at risk, and the UK’s democratic institutions will be further undermined.”

This protest was not only a statement against the CCP but also a direct message to the UK government—public opposition is strong, and democratic voices cannot be ignored.

Previously, the UK government rejected China’s initial application for the embassy due to security concerns. However, recent signs indicate hesitation, as officials claim that there is “not enough public opposition” to block the project. This protest proved them wrong, showcasing the unity of overseas democracy activists and increasing pressure on the UK government.

During the protest, banners, placards, and speeches all revolved around one core demand:

“The UK must not allow an authoritarian regime to build a mega embassy in London. The CCP’s infiltration must not threaten UK democracy and security!”

Many protesters held signs that read “Reject the Mega Embassy,” “The CCP Does Not Represent China,” and “The Free World Does Not Welcome Authoritarianism”, reaffirming their unwavering stance.

The influence of this protest went beyond the event itself, sparking widespread attention in the UK and internationally regarding the CCP’s overseas expansion. Media coverage helped more people understand the security threats behind this project, further increasing public pressure on the UK government.

For the China Democratic Party National Joint Headquarters (Overseas) UK Committee, this protest was not just participation but a declaration of their firm stance. As a long-time democracy activist, Ma Yinglai reaffirmed:

“To truly promote China’s democratization, we must resist the CCP’s overseas infiltration and strengthen international cooperation to support democracy. This protest sends a clear message to the UK government and the world: We will not tolerate authoritarian expansion.”

Looking ahead, the committee will continue monitoring the CCP’s political expansion overseas, urging the UK and other democratic nations to take stronger measures against CCP influence. Zhang Bin emphasized that the committee would strengthen its alliances with other democratic organizations to push for global resistance against authoritarian regimes.

The 2.8 protest was not just an action against China’s mega embassy but a powerful assembly of global democratic forces. Through the leadership of Ma Yinglai, with the support of Zhang Bin and other members, the demonstration showcased the unwavering determination of overseas democracy activists.

This protest forced the UK government to acknowledge the opposition, exposed the CCP’s expansionist ambitions to the world, and gave hope to those still fighting for democracy.

The fight does not end with one protest—every action is another step toward freedom. We will not remain silent in the face of authoritarianism; we will not retreat in the face of oppression. This fight has only just begun!
